This position will provide support to the Surety Underwriting Team. The position will have contact with underwriters, agents and clients and assist in inputting new bond transactions, endorsements and supporting surety underwriting information management, updating agency information, and providing general office administrative functions as needed. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Process Surety business through review and preparation of bonds submitted for billing including data entry into company system Prepare and process new bonds, riders and renewals including cancellations, endorsements and reinstatements as needed Provide excellent service to internal and external customers and assist agents and clients with inquiries and questions Retrieve information using various systems to prepare and verify documents for accuracy Assist with preparation, management and tracking of job status inquiries for issued bonds Save correspondence, bonds and client documents to system Run Credit Reports for new and existing accounts Set up and organize bond files for new submissions File Bid results as necessary Assist with review and audit of agent bond number logs Assist with review and preparation of bond renewals Apply independent judgment to complete complex or specialized assignments/tasks working within defined policies and procedures to optimize planned business results Process, coordinate and/or validate data and documents to ensure quality and customer satisfaction Provide administrative support as needed Perform additional projects as requested Qualifications, Education and Experience Surety experience required Professional Administrative Experience required High School diploma required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Oral and written communication skills Organizational and planning skills Analytical and detail oriented Ability to interact with a wide variety of people daily, in person, via telephone and email. Accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail are essential Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Ability to independently multi-task and respond to changing business priorities Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a collaborative environment. Outgoing, driven, high attention to detail and results focused mentality Learns quickly and demonstrates an open attitude when facing new problems, processes, or procedures, and takes advantage of diverse sources of information to solve problems Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment as well as independently Able to complete tasks and assignments in a high-volume work environment Compensation & Benefits The applicable base salary for this opportunity is $60,000 - $70,000. The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to the base salary, this opportunity may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
