A Day in the Life The Associate Analyst, U.S. Field Inventory plays an important role in supporting field sales teams through effective inventory management, order fulfillment, and obsolescence reduction across multiple businesses. This role partners closely with U.S. Field Inventory, Field Sales, and cross-functional stakeholders to help ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time. This position supports the execution of inventory strategies tied to product availability, new product launches, and inventory optimization initiatives. Success in this role requires strong analytical capability, systems proficiency, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with limited supervision. This role will be remote for candidates located in Colombia. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Field Inventory Management Build strong working relationships with field sales teams and internal partners, including sales representatives, district managers, commercial and sales operations, and sales finance Partner proactively with the field to support inventory optimization strategies and align inventory levels to business needs and business unit methodology Communicate inventory targets and supporting rationale clearly and effectively to field partners. Identify and execute opportunities to reduce slow-moving, short-dated, expired, and excess inventory Manage the setup of new trunk stock and consignment inventory levels, including recommending changes and negotiating par levels when appropriate Partner with the field to streamline shared processes and promote consistency across business units and regions Maintain inventory levels based on business model requirements, statistical data, sales input, supply chain strategy, and current inventory position Prepare and publish summaries of inventory initiatives for assigned districts or regions on an agreed-upon cadence, including best practices and program outcomes Conduct detailed analysis of par levels, historical consignment activity, and inventory trends in close partnership with field teams Perform accurate research to support inventory infraction and incentive programs Order Management Contribute consistently to team workloads to help ensure service levels are achieved across the broader team, not only within assigned regional support Execute field inventory retrievals in partnership with field teams as needed Generate and distribute reports based on business and stakeholder needs Partner with Senior Analysts and Analysts to support allocation activities for high backorder volumes and constrained product lines in alignment with operating unit strategy and approved tools and processes Cycle Counts and Compliance Execute and report on field cycle count processes in accordance with regulatory requirements, Medtronic policies, and business unit finance expectations Support all associated activities, including communication, escalation, research, reconciliation, transactions and adjustments, inquiries, and responses to quarterly audits Understand and follow FDA regulations, quality requirements, training requirements, standard operating procedures, and work instructions, while identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency Closing Support end-of-day order fulfillment activities to help ensure orders are released by close of business. Partner with field teams to coordinate product movement and help meet case coverage and open order needs Use strong communication and influence skills to facilitate timely inventory decisions and support fulfillment priorities Regularly work through close of business as needed to support order release and business continuity. Continuous Improvement and Collaboration Use strong interpersonal and influence skills to drive action and support business initiatives, including those that may be difficult or unpopular Participate in process improvement efforts across divisions to increase standardization, improve automation, and drive efficiency Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and take ownership of driving them through completion Communicate proactively when timelines are at risk and help reset expectations as needed Work a flexible schedule based on business needs Required Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s degree One year of experience in customer service, inventory management or supply chain Fluent in English Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, Access, Business Objects, or similar platforms is a plus Inventory, supply chain, or asset management experience; Experience in healthcare, MedTech, or other highly regulated industries and experience with SAP ERP is advantageous Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. ‌ Recruitment Fraud Alert We are aware of phishing scams targeting job seekers.
