We're searching for an Associate Attorney - Healthcare Compliance to join their team in the United States. Our Client Our client is a technology and services company dedicated to reducing barriers to care by improving the delivery of non-emergency medical transportation to people across America. Our client employs proprietary technology, paired with a nationwide network of vetted transportation providers. This enables payers and health systems to deliver cost-effective, on-demand transportation intelligently, enhancing the patient experience in the process. They serve the largest Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and provider programs in the country. The Role Our client is seeking a strategic and operationally focused Associate Attorney with experience in Healthcare Compliance to support the continued growth and maturation of their enterprise compliance program. Reporting directly to the General Counsel / Director of Compliance, this role will serve as a key advisor on healthcare regulatory matters while helping build scalable compliance infrastructure that supports our client's Medicaid and Medicare Advantage operations nationwide. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys working at the intersection of healthcare law, compliance operations, and business strategy in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The Associate Attorney - Healthcare Compliance will partner cross-functionally across Operations, Product, Security, HR, and Client Success to strengthen regulatory compliance, manage audits and corrective actions, mitigate risk, and support ethical business operations that improve healthcare access for underserved populations. Job Responsibilities Compliance Program Development & Oversight * Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise compliance programs and infrastructure * Draft, review, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and operational controls * Assist in building scalable compliance and risk management processes across the organization * Support compliance committee activities, reporting, and follow-up actions Audit & Regulatory Oversight * Lead and support client, government, and internal audit activities, including Medicaid and Medicare Advantage audits * Coordinate audit responses, documentation collection, issue tracking, and remediation efforts * Manage external and internal corrective action plans (CAPs) from intake through resolution * Conduct internal audits, monitoring activities, and compliance risk assessments * Support encounter, operational, and delegated entity compliance oversight initiatives Legal & Regulatory Counsel * Provide practical legal and regulatory guidance related to healthcare compliance, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, HIPAA, and related healthcare regulations * Conduct regulatory research and interpret federal and state requirements for operational stakeholders * Advise internal teams on compliance risks and mitigation strategies * Support implementation of regulatory and contractual requirements across business operations Privacy & Investigations * Support privacy compliance initiatives and advise on HIPAA-related matters * Assist with investigations, issue resolution, and documentation related to compliance concerns * Partner with internal stakeholders and outside counsel on litigation support and regulatory matters, as needed Cross-Functional Collaboration * Collaborate with Operations, Security, Product, HR, and Client Success teams to embed compliance into day-to-day operations * Foster a proactive culture of compliance, accountability, and ethical decision-making. Requirements Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active bar license in good standing 3+ years of experience in healthcare law, healthcare compliance, or a related regulatory role Working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, HIPAA, and healthcare regulatory frameworks Experience supporting audits, investigations, corrective action plans, and risk assessments Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and operationalize them effectively Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with evolving priorities Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Medicaid or government program audits Experience building or scaling healthcare compliance programs Familiarity with delegated oversight, FDR oversight, or vendor compliance programs Experience in NEMT, managed care, digital health, or healthcare services organizations Experience supporting compliance training and policy governance programs.
