Role Overview We are looking for an Associate Commercial Counsel to join our legal team in Munich. Reporting to the Head of EMEA Legal in London, you will interface with our Go-To-Market team to help ensure the fast and efficient execution of our agreements with customers. What You’ll Do Generative AI has the power to greatly change the world and directly impact how things get done. Harvey is at the forefront of this change, and our mission is to make generative AI actionable and useful for our customers. This is a fast moving environment that is serving some of the world’s most renowned law firms and professional service organizations. And this role will put you in the center of all of this. More specifically, you will : Draft, review, and negotiate Commercial AI SaaS contracts Under the leadership of the Head of EMEA Legal, help to continue to develop the legal function in EMEA, laying down a strong substantive, organizational and relationship foundation for the legal presence in the region Support the growth of the DACH region as our first in-house counsel in Munich Work on other legal issues as they arise We are a growing company, and one of the best things about working in such an environment is that there is lots of opportunity to pick up other aspects of the legal work that supports our company. While the principal job will be as described above, there will be ample opportunities to broaden your wheelhouse here at Harvey! We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week. What You Have German qualified lawyer with a minimum of 2+ years post qualification experience, either with the commercial or technology division of a leading private practice law firm and/or in-house with a technology company supporting SaaS or technology Go-To-Market or Business Development teams Transactional background focused on commercial contracts, including with technology, and/or IP licensing commercial agreements AI experience welcomed but not required Ability to think creatively, function independently and work proactively in a fast-paced environment Team-focused and collaborative work style; willingness to build expertise and solve new challenges in an evolving practice Hyper-responsive and service-oriented attitude, and a love for solving hard problems with a small tight-knit team Depending on your location, an Applicant Privacy Notice may apply to you.
