Position Overview

The Associate Consultant supports consulting engagements and project activities involving embedded software systems, industrial platforms, and enterprise technology integration.

This role combines project coordination, technical consulting support, and business development activities. The consultant works with senior consultants, engineering teams, customers, and global partners to support project execution, evaluate technology solutions, and help organizations understand and adopt complex software technologies.

Candidates are not required to be professional software developers, but they should possess sufficient technical curiosity and learning ability to understand modern software architectures and communicate their implications clearly to customers.

The position is particularly suitable for candidates with approximately 2–5 years of professional experience in IT software, embedded systems, or technology consulting environments.

Technology Ecosystems

Consulting engagements may involve full-stack embedded and distributed software environments including:

• Embedded programming languages: C, C++, Rust
• UI frameworks: Slint, Qt
• Messaging and distributed systems: NATS, MQTT
• OTA software update platforms
• Data aggregation and telemetry systems
• Hardware virtualization and simulation environments
• QEMU, Renode
• Automotive and embedded software architectures
• AutoSAR, RTOS, Baremetal/uVelocity
• SDV/SOVD
• TSN-DDS
• Embedded DevOps and lifecycle management

Candidates are not expected to master all of these technologies. What matters most is the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar technologies and explain their relevance and implications to customers and partners.

Industrial Verticals

Consulting engagements typically involve clients in industries such as:

• Automotive and mobility systems
• Industrial embedded and manufacturing platforms
• Defense and mission-critical embedded systems

Projects may include software architecture consulting, OTA deployment strategies, data platform design, embedded software integration, and technology strategy advisory.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management Support

• Assist in coordinating consulting and software integration projects
• Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines
• Maintain project documentation and reporting
• Coordinate communication across distributed engineering teams
• Utilize collaboration tools such as JIRA, Git, or Gerrit

Technical Consulting Support

• Assist in evaluating embedded software architectures and system platforms
• Conduct technical research and analysis on emerging technologies
• Support preparation of consulting reports, solution documentation, and recommendations
• Participate in technical workshops and architecture discussions

Business Development Support

• Assist in identifying consulting and technology opportunities with enterprise clients
• Support preparation of proposals, technical presentations, and solution descriptions
• Conduct market and technology research relevant to client environments
• Contribute to partner ecosystem engagement and market expansion initiatives

Client Communication

• Participate in meetings with enterprise customers and technology partners
• Support communication between consulting teams, engineering teams, and stakeholders
• Help translate complex technical concepts into clear operational or business implications

Required Qualifications

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

• Computer Science
• Software Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Information Technology
• Engineering or other technology-related disciplines

Professional Experience

Approximately 2–5 years of professional experience in areas such as:

• IT software development
• Embedded systems engineering
• Technology consulting
• Software project coordination

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong communication ability in Korean
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Ability to work independently in a remote and international environment

• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as JIRA, Git, or Gerrit

Preferred Technical Background

Experience in one or more of the following areas is beneficial:

• Embedded software systems
• Programming experience in C, C++, or Rust
• OTA update systems or IoT data platforms
• Industrial or automotive embedded environments
• Technology consulting or system integration projects

Programming expertise is not mandatory, but technical familiarity is recommended to better understand software architectures and communicate effectively with engineering teams and clients.
