We are seeking talented individuals to join our Data Engineer Associate Program . You will immediately become a part of our Syntio Labs (Research & Innovation) team, where you will contribute to internal development and apply basic Data Engineering & Software Engineering techniques and technologies commonly used on Syntio products and projects. What You Will Be Doing (Core Responsibilities): As a Data Engineer Associate, you will be working in an agile setup in teams . Your primary duties will focus on contributing to internal projects as a part of Syntio Labs, learning best practices, and rapidly advancing your technical skills. What You Will Be Doing (Responsibilities): As a member of the Labs team, you will be crucial in executing tasks related to research, testing, and implementation. Your core responsibilities, assigned during sprint plannings or daily meetings, will include: • Task Execution and Development: Working on assigned tasks during sprints to produce the required results defined in the desired outcomes. • Research and Problem Solving: Analyzing the defined need (business requirement) and drafting solutions for research tasks. You may also propose new interesting initiatives or technologies for further research during sprint planning sessions. • Code Development and Setup: Creating and maintaining a GitHub repository with code that was used to execute the task. • Comprehensive Documentation: Ensuring a trace of all work performed by creating documentation on Confluence (which is a must) so that others can view and use the results. • Knowledge Sharing: Preparing and delivering content, as most Labs tasks fall under the category of content interesting for Tech Tuesday Session(s) . You may also contribute to a Blog post . • Collaboration: Refining task definitions in communication with the reporters (product, project, or other internal teams). What We Are Looking For (Required Skillset): We are seeking enthusiastic candidates who meet the following requirements: • Education: Currently a master's degree student of computer science or a related field. • Availability: Available 20–40 hours per week . • Programming Familiarity: Familiarity with Python, Java or GO . • Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL . • Cloud Familiarity: Basic understanding of cloud-based technologies . • Version Control: Familiarity with source control frameworks (Git) . • Communication: Great communication skills in English . • Interest: A strong interest in software development .
