T HE ROLE We are looking for an Associate Director or Manager to join our expanding infrastructure and energy team, leading the delivery of high-quality advice and analysis across a range of policy areas . Flint Associate Directors and Managers play a central role in our work — running project teams, contributing to client relationships, and support ing business development . At a time of significant political and policy change, successful candidates will have a unique opportunity to support the continuing development of Flint’s business, and work on an exciting array of complex policy issues for our clients across energy and economic infrastructure sectors and markets (investors, operators and suppl y chains ) . You’ll help them understand an d shape policy and regulatory change s that affect commercial strategy. You will also play a hands-on role in managing junior colleagues, sharing expertise , and supporting their development. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery: Lead day-to-day delivery of client work — providing clear, actionable advice informed by a strong understanding of political , policy and regulatory developments. Client Management : Support the management of client accounts/ relationships, contribute to strategic advice, and help identify opportunities for further impact. Policy and Political Analysis: Apply deep knowledge of the policymaking process , the commercial implications of regulat ion and the investment frameworks that apply to infrastructure assets. Team Leadership: Manage and support junior colleagues, delegate effectively, provide guidance and feedback, and help ensure high standards of analysis, policy advice and insight across teams. Business Development: identify new opportunities with existing and prospective clients and c ontribute to proposals and thought leadership material . WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR – SKILLS & EXPERIENCE We are seeking candidates with 5 + years’ experience in public policy, regulation and/ or infrastructure finance. This may include time in government, regulator, think tank, or in-house policy or s trategy team in an energy/ infrastructure business or investor . You should be able to demonstrate ( ‘ essential criteria ’ ) : A strong grasp of UK public policy related to energy and economic infrastructure , and a broader understanding of how politics, regulation and economics interact in shaping business decisions. An u nderstand ing of the investment frameworks and private financ e models that support i nfrastructure and energy assets. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distil complex issues into clear, concise advice. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with senior stakeholders and in writing for non-specialist audiences. Experience of managing project teams and supporting the development of others. Personal drive, strong organisation, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
