Exciting opportunity to lead people systems and reporting in a dynamic team This is a Clerk Grade 11/12 role with a salary range of $154,231 - $178,369 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading Temporary full-time opportunity based in Sydney CBD (until end of January 2027 ) with possibility of extension Hybrid working arrangements may be available within business operational needs About The Role We’re looking for a systems-savvy and outcomes-focused HR professional to join our People and Capability team as Associate Director, People Systems and Analytics. In this role, you’ll support the effective management and continuous improvement of the department’s people systems, workforce reporting and external shared services, including payroll, contractor management and HCM platforms. You’ll provide subject matter expertise, practical advice and hands-on support to help embed recent system changes, improve data quality and reporting, and support the team and business to transition to new ways of working. Reporting to the Director, Talent and People Operations, you’ll manage a small team and oversee key reporting cycles, dashboards, ad hoc data requests and statutory workforce reporting. You’ll also contribute to the performance monitoring and relationship management of key service providers, support internal governance and audit requirements, and help uplift capability across the broader P&C function through improved processes, self-service and effective use of systems and reports. This is a great opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment, combining systems expertise, workforce insights, service provider oversight, people leadership and practical problem-solving to deliver fit-for-purpose, compliant and value-adding services. About You You bring a strong understanding of HR systems, workforce reporting and people operations, with experience managing shared services relationships and workforce analytics in a large or complex setting, ideally with an understanding of NSW public sector operations. You know how to get the best from shared services or providers and can confidently manage day-to-day issues while keeping longer-term improvements in focus. You’re experienced in systems such as SAP, Cornerstone or similar platforms, and have a strong grasp of reporting tools such as Power BI. You’re detail-oriented but practical, with the ability to translate data and system information into clear insights, advice and improvements that support business needs. You enjoy leading a team, supporting capability uplift, improving processes and strengthening the way people systems and reporting are used across the organisation. You’ll be someone who values good governance, accurate data, sound documentation and delivering high-quality outcomes in a busy environment.
