Associate Frontend Developer

The role
We are bringing on an Associate Frontend Developer to support our technical work for a large South African client. This role is essential because our consulting findings often require custom digital interfaces to help clients visualize structural changes or manage new internal workflows. You will focus on building clean, stable web components that translate complex organizational data into clear, usable tools for our partner. This is a fully remote, permanent position that requires a high degree of precision and a preference for well-documented code.

What you will do

• Translate static design specifications and organizational charts into functional frontend components using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
• Collaborate with our senior technical staff to maintain the codebase for our client portal and data visualization tools.
• Assist in the implementation of accessible and responsive layouts to ensure tools work across various devices used by executive teams.
• Write clean, documented code that follows our internal style guides and naming conventions for long-term maintenance.
• Support the debugging process by identifying and fixing UI inconsistencies reported during client testing phases.
• Participate in technical documentation by writing clear descriptions of front-facing features and component logic.
• Ensure that all visual elements reflect the professional and precise standards expected by our European consulting team.

What we are looking for

• Basic familiarity with modern frontend frameworks or libraries, perhaps gained through university projects or personal coding practice.
• A strong understanding of core web technologies, specifically semantic HTML and CSS structures.
• Attention to detail regarding visual alignment, spacing, and the legibility of complex data tables.
• Curiosity about how business logic and organizational structures are represented through digital interfaces.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in written form, which is vital for our remote-first environment.
• A systematic approach to problem solving and a preference for simple, stable solutions over complex or experimental workarounds.
