Required Qualifications Typically 0–2 years of experience in IT, cloud, or infrastructure; relevant internships, lab work, or coursework will be considered. An interest in partnering across teams and acting as a liaison, with a willingness to help internal teams onboard to cloud and understand their cost and usage. Foundational understanding of at least one major cloud provider (Microsoft Azure preferred), with exposure to Google Cloud Platform and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure a plus. Familiarity with cloud compute, virtual machines, storage, virtualization, and Linux and/or Windows operating systems. Exposure to platform and host services, landing zones, configuration baselines, tagging, and naming conventions. Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts (virtual networks, subnets, DNS, load balancing, security groups) sufficient to collaborate with the Network team. Familiarity with at least one scripting language (PowerShell or Python) and basic version control with Git, plus exposure to or interest in Terraform and CI/CD workflows. Basic understanding of cloud IAM, RBAC, and least-privilege access concepts. Awareness of monitoring and observability concepts, with comfort performing routine maintenance and supervised change execution. Strong willingness to learn, attention to detail, and clear written, verbal, and technical communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Internship or project experience working with a major cloud provider. Exposure to or interest in Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Helm. Exposure to backup, high availability, or disaster recovery concepts. Understanding of compute, virtualization, and OS-level factors that influence storage design and performance. Interest in using AI tools for log analysis, anomaly detection, or operational automation. Awareness of cloud cost reporting, tagging compliance, and FinOps practices. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $69,600 to $87,000 annually.
