Job Summary As an Associate Philanthropic Consultant (Director of Campaigns and Fundraising Strategy), you will use your experience to provide support to clients from healthcare systems and academic medical centers, colleges and universities, arts and cultural organizations, and many other nonprofits to advance their missions. This role works as a part of a team on client engagements, to help to acquire data, synthesize and analyze data, produce recommendations and create deliverables, as well as provide broad levels of client services (including managed services). This position will work under the direction of each project engagement manager, and utilize BWF’s methodology to prepare client deliverables, including reports and other materials. Additionally, this position may also serve as part of an onsite consulting team, helping with implementation and to pace and or assist fundraising campaigns or other philanthropic activity and initiatives. This role is responsible for producing high-quality deliverables, assisting with the creation and implementation of report recommendations, campaign and fundraising strategies and other related services, while applying data and insights to refine project outcomes. Your ability to manage projects, collaborate effectively, and deliver consistent results will play an important part in supporting our clients’ fundraising efforts and enhancing their impact within the community. This position works collaboratively with clients, consultants, and support staff. This position will frequently partner with and learn from industry-leading consultants as they help clients to discover solutions to their challenges. Essential Functions Perform client work independently and as a part of a team. Complete tasks and projects for external clients that may include program reviews, fundraising strategy development and implementation, feasibility studies, campaign counsel, board engagement, and other services as needed. Collaborate regularly with internal team members and clients to ensure delivery of cohesive and quality work product delivered by deadline. Serve as a key project team member for multi-team engagements in defined roles as outlined in project scope and as defined by the project engagement manager. Contributes ideas and support innovative approaches to problem solving. Support company-generated thought leadership by creating written content and engage in speaking opportunities to promote expertise in philanthropy through firm and industry publications, conferences, or events. Participate in ongoing internal activities as a productive and active member of the firm. These may include orientation and ongoing trainings, firm-wide client review meetings, and other skill-building activities. Contribute to the development and maintenance of methodology for managed service annual giving and digital marketing deliverable ensuring that team members adopt methodology. Support sales functions of the related team. Support company-generated thought leadership by creating written content and engage in speaking opportunities to promote expertise in philanthropy through firm and industry publications, conferences, or events. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 5+ years of donor facing fundraising experience in a higher education, healthcare or other nonprofits setting. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative, and a solid strategic thinking ability for report writing. Solid time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Bachelor’s degree Demonstrates a strong professional presence in all interactions. Work Environment/Conditions This position can be remote or based in our Minneapolis office (locally based employees are expected to maintain a hybrid office present). Position requires ability to work in a stationary position for majority of workday. Continuous use of computer. Frequent communication with team and clients via zoom and in person. This is an exempt position that requires at least 40 hour of work per week but due to the nature of this role, additional hours are required when deadlines need to be met. Overnight travel to client sites, conferences, or firm meetings is sometimes required (up to 50%). Compensation and Benefits Annual base salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 (plus bonus potential) based on qualifications and experience.
