The ideal candidate is a motivated early-career engineer eager to learn infrastructure and platform engineering from the ground up. This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company, which will require intellectual curiosity persistence and a genuine interest in how cloud infrastructure works under the hood. Key Responsibilities Learn and contribute to production infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform Assist in building and maintaining cloud-native services across VKE VLB and VCR Develop hands-on skills with Kubernetes and container runtimes through guided project work Write and improve tooling and scripts (Go, Python, Bash) to support platform operations Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for platform services Dig into issues across networking containers and Linux systems with curiosity and persistence Contribute to Vultr's open-source tools and libraries with guidance from senior engineers Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as you build operational experience Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience) Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Go, Python, Bash or similar) Basic understanding of Linux systems and command-line operations Interest in cloud infrastructure containers and Kubernetes (prior experience not required) Strong problem-solving instincts and willingness to dig into unfamiliar systems Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team Compensation $80,000 - $90,000 Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
