What you'll do As a SaaS Engineer, you will help build, operate, automate, and improve Docusign's enterprise SaaS ecosystem. You will administer collaboration and productivity platforms, maintain reliable and secure services, and partner with technical and business stakeholders to continuously improve how these platforms are used across the company. A key focus of this role is identifying operational inefficiencies and translating them into scalable automation. You will use APIs, scripting, workflow platforms, and emerging AI capabilities to automate repetitive processes, integrate SaaS applications, and improve the employee experience. You will also contribute to the day-to-day operation, lifecycle management, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise SaaS services. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, End User Automation. Responsibility Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft Office 365, Lucidchart, and other collaboration platforms Identify, design, and implement automation opportunities across SaaS operations and business workflows Develop scripts, workflows, and integrations using APIs, scripting languages, and automation platforms Own day-to-day RTB/KTLO activities for assigned SaaS services and ensure platform reliability, security, and operational health Support application lifecycle activities including deployment, configuration, upgrades, integrations, migrations, and decommissioning Implement and maintain SaaS integrations including user provisioning, authentication, data exchange, and workflow automation Troubleshoot application, integration, authentication, and user experience issues across multiple SaaS platforms Partner with Security and Identity teams to implement secure application configurations and access controls Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and reusable engineering standards Use monitoring, platform data, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for service improvement Evaluate and implement AI-powered productivity and automation capabilities where they can improve operational efficiency or employee experience Participate in projects involving SaaS architecture, application rationalization, platform modernization, and enterprise collaboration Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 3+ years of related experience supporting, administering, or engineering SaaS or cloud-based applications Experience with enterprise productivity or collaboration platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, Slack, or similar Experience with scripting or programming using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar languages Experience using REST APIs to integrate or automate SaaS applications Experience with identity and access management concepts including SSO, provisioning, and role-based access Experience troubleshooting SaaS applications, integrations, and technical issues Experience identifying opportunities to automate repetitive operational processes Experience independently executing technical tasks and managing multiple priorities Experience communicating and collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams Preferred Experience administering Google Workspace in an enterprise environment Experience with Okta or similar identity platforms, including SAML/OIDC authentication and SCIM provisioning Experience building automations using Google Apps Script, AppSheet, workflow platforms, or similar technologies Experience integrating multiple SaaS applications through APIs and event-driven workflows Experience with GenAI, AI agents, or AI-powered workflow and productivity solutions Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern software development practices Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 administration Experience supporting application deployments, migrations, or organization-wide application changes Strong decision-making, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities Ability to take ownership of technical problems and drive them through resolution Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Life at DocuSign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
