Atlassian Implementation Developer

Atlassian Implementation Developer Smart Data Solutions, a leading provider of data management, claim routing and workflow solutions to health plans and TPAs, is looking for an Atlassian Implementation Developer to join our team! What you’ll be doing? Collaborate with the onshore implementation lead to configure and deploy Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, and Jira Product Discovery for internal projects. Build andmaintainJira project configurations including issue types, workflows, custom fields, screens, and permission/notification schemes. Configure JSM service desks including portals, request types, SLA policies, queues, automation rules, and escalation workflows. Set up Confluence spaces with structured templates, page hierarchies, macros, and access permissions to support internal documentation needs. Support Jira Product Discovery configurations including views, roadmaps,and idea panels aligned to internal product team requirements. Develop Jira automation rules and scripted solutions using ScriptRunner or Jira Forge where applicable. Perform data migrations, bulk imports/exports, and project restructuring tasks as assigned. Assist with Atlassian Cloud migrations including pre-migration assessment and post-migration validation. Serve as the primary Atlassian Cloud administrator for internal Jira Software, JSM, Confluence, and Product Discovery instances. Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, groups, roles, and license assignments in Atlassian Access / Admin Hub. Monitor platform health, audit logs, and usage analytics; proactivelyidentifyand resolve configuration issues. Maintain and enforce platform governance standards including naming conventions, project templates, permission frameworks, and archival policies. Manage Atlassian Marketplace app licensing, upgrades, and compatibility testing. Apply platform updates, security patches, and new feature rollouts in coordination with the onshore lead. Maintain platform documentation including admin runbooks, user guides, onboarding materials, and change logs. Respond to internal helpdesk requests related to Atlassian tools, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 platform support. Generate and distribute regular platform usage and performance reports to leadership. Participate in daily stand-ups and project syncs with the onshore team during scheduled overlap hours. Perform other duties as assigned. What we’re looking for? Required skills: 3+ years of experience in Atlassian product configuration and implementation (Jira Software, JSM, Confluence). Hands-on Atlassian Cloud administration experience including user management, Atlassian Access / Admin Hub, and license management. Proficiencyin Jira workflow design, custom field configuration, and permission/notification scheme management. Experience configuring JSM including portals, SLAs, queues, request types, and automation rules. Working knowledge of Confluence administration including space management, templates, permissions, and macros. Familiarity with Jira Product Discovery or Jira Align is a plus. Ability to write and troubleshoot Jira automation rules; experience with ScriptRunner or Jira Forge is a plus. Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) for async and live collaboration with the onshore team. Availability for a minimum 4-hour daily overlap with U.S. Central or Eastern Time. Reliable high-speed internet connectivity and a secure remote work setup. Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certifications preferred (Jira Administration, JSM, or Confluence). Experience with Atlassian Data Center to Cloud migration projects is a plus. Knowledge of REST APIs and JQL for advanced queries and integrations is a plus. Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM best practices.
