Audit Manager, Internal Audit Brisbane, Sydney OR Melbourne Lead end-to-end audits across a complex insurance business Contribute to strategic risk insights and business improvement Hybrid working 50% WFH About the Role Join Suncorp's Internal Audit team and help make Suncorp better by delivering high-quality assurance across our Insurance portfolio. You'll lead audits from planning through to reporting, providing valuable insights that support effective risk management and strong business outcomes. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll assess control effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Internal Audit. What You'll Do Lead end-to-end audits, project reviews, and ad hoc assurance activities, delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets. Develop audit scopes, work programs, testing approaches, and resource plans that focus on key risks and control effectiveness. Analyse audit findings and control gaps, providing practical recommendations that help the business manage risk and improve performance. Build effective relationships with business leaders and risk teams, maintaining open communication throughout the audit lifecycle. Prepare clear and concise audit reports and contribute to the presentation of findings to stakeholders and management. Support continuous improvement initiatives within Internal Audit and provide coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing across the team. What You'll Bring Minimum 5 years' experience in financial services, internal audit and/or external audit, with a proven ability to deliver audits independently. Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk management principles, and internal control frameworks, with experience applying these in complex environments. Experience leading audits from planning through to reporting, including stakeholder engagement, testing, analysis, and recommendation development. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate audit observations and insights to diverse stakeholders. Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, IT, or a related discipline, and/or professional qualifications such as IIA, CA or CPA will be highly regarded. Experience with data analytics audit techniques, IT controls, or broader risk assurance activities will be advantageous.
