Automation QA Engineer

VidRush is an AI-native video production platform that replaces an entire video team with coordinated AI agents. Creators turn a simple idea into a fully produced, long-form video—research, script, voiceover, visuals, motion graphics, and rendering—in under an hour. No timelines. No editing headaches. Just intent → finished video. We’re building a new way to create video that feels more like writing than editing, and we’re already seeing strong traction from serious creators and media teams. We are looking for someone who can help us ship higher quality, fewer regressions, and smoother releases . The role This role is for someone who loves finding edge cases, breaking things early, and improving product quality through real systems — not just clicking around and writing “bug reports.” What you’ll do Test new features and releases across our web app + video generation pipeline Catch regressions before they hit production (UI, backend workflows, output quality issues) Write clear, actionable bug reports with repro steps + expected vs actual + videos/screenshots Create and maintain test plans for critical flows (generation, editing, exports, credits/billing flows) Help build a simple QA process that scales (release checklist, smoke tests, QA gating) Work closely with frontend/backend/AI engineers to improve reliability and speed What we’re looking for Strong attention to detail + obsession with quality Able to test complex systems with lots of edge cases (not just “happy path”) Great written communication (you’ll work async + in Slack/Discord) Can work independently without hand-holding Bonus: experience testing AI/media/video tools, creative software, or pipelines Nice-to-haves Experience with automated testing (Playwright/Cypress) Basic technical skills (reading logs, API responses, browser devtools) Familiarity with product QA workflows in startups Working style Remote-first High ownership, high autonomy Fast shipping, no corporate process
