Auxiliar Contable

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Remote (must reside in Medellin)

Objective:

To assist the finance team in preparing and analyzing financial statements, performing accounting and financial tasks, and contributing to the maintenance of the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial records.

Responsibilities:

Accounting and Finance:

• Prepare and record financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, etc.).
• Perform variance analysis and make necessary adjustments.
• Assist in preparing budget and financial projections.

Processes and Procedures:

• Implement and maintain accounting and financial procedures.
• Develop and maintain documentation of financial processes and policies.
• Assist in implementing new technologies and accounting systems.

Analysis and Reporting:

• Prepare financial reports and analysis for management.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Assist in preparing financial presentations.

Data Entry:

• Enter financial data into the accounting software.
• Verify the accuracy of data entered into the system.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist in maintaining a filing system for financial records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Knowledge of accounting and financial principles.
• Excellent Excel and accounting software skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
