AWS Cloud Application Architect

Key Responsibilities: Design and implement AWS-native architectures (serverless and distributed systems) Lead backend development using Python and AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and RDS Apply and enforce AWS Well-Architected Framework principles Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, or GitHub Actions Implement Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform Define monitoring and observability strategies using CloudWatch and X-Ray Ensure cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, network security, vulnerability scanning tools such as Wiz) Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams Collaborate with Solution Architect and cross-functional stakeholders Required Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in software development (cloud-focused) 5+ years architecting AWS cloud applications Strong expertise in AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, RDS, IAM) Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript 3+ years of CI/CD pipeline implementation Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform) Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray) Strong communication and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with event-driven architectures (SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions) Exposure to high-performance or compute-intensive systems Experience in regulated environments Other requirements: US Resident | US Citizenship Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English) Work Modality: Hybrid Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico Benefits and Perks We believe in supporting our employees’ well-being, growth, and work-life balance.
