AWS Data Engineer

The Role: As an AWS Data Engineer, you will be at the heart of our data ecosystem. You will design, build, and own robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines that process millions of records daily. Your work will directly empower our data scientists, analysts, and business leaders to make smarter, faster decisions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and automate large-scale, high-performance ETL/ELT data pipelines using core AWS and external services. Work with big data technologies and distributed systems to process and transform large datasets Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and quality across the entire data lifecycle. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and systems for performance and cost. Stay current with emerging technologies in the AWS data landscape and evaluate new tools to improve our platform. What We're Looking For: Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on the AWS ecosystem. Hands-on expertise with AWS data services. Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language, preferably Python . Experience building and maintaining reliable, scalable data pipelines. Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT best practices. What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Skills): Experience with both relational and non-relational databases MSSQL, MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB, AWS Aurora. Experience with AWS data services like: Glue, DMS, S3, Redshift. Experience with Serverless Computing or Function as a Service (FaaS) and services like: AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge . Experience with real-time data streaming services like Amazon Kinesis or MSK (Managed Streaming for Kafka). Experience with big data processing frameworks like Spark . AWS Certifications like Data Engineer associate, Data Engineer professional or similar certification. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform .
