We are growing our consulting team and looking for an Azure Architect to join us on our exciting journey and be part of the Hitachi Solutions family. As an Azure Architect, you will be part of the Azure Cloud Solutions capability and you will lead the design of enterprise scale Azure platforms for our customers. You will work on client facing projects and you will contribute towards the strategic direction of this team. Key Responsibilities • Lead the architecture and design of enterprise scale Azure platforms • Establish and refine Azure Landing Zone strategy and shared service models • Set Infrastructure as Code standards and automation first principles • Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure and platform engineers • Run cloud strategy workshops and migration readiness assessments • Design and oversee data centre exits and re-platforming programmes • Conduct Well Architected Framework reviews and implement governance guardrails • Align designs with UK Government standards and security classifications • Present platform architectures to technical and C suite stakeholders • Support pre sales, proposals and the growth of the capability Key Qualifications Significant demonstrable experience in IT infrastructure, specialising in Azure platform engineering Eligible for UK Security Clearance Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams Experience of large scale migrations and data centre exits Expert understanding of the Cloud Adoption and Well Architected Frameworks Experience advising on the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Confident in client facing and consulting situations Good written and spoken English Holding Azure certifications, in particular AZ-305 Essential Skills: Bicep and Terraform Azure Landing Zones Hub spoke and Virtual WAN networking ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall and Application Gateway Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC and PIM Azure Policy, management groups and subscription design Azure Migrate and discovery tooling Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and KQL Zero Trust, high availability and disaster recovery patterns FinOps and cloud cost optimisation GitHub Copilot for accelerated Infrastructure as Code development In applying for a role with Hitachi Solutions Europe Limited and/or its affiliates (“Hitachi”) you consent to Hitachi collecting and storing your personal information (including your name, job title and email address) in relation to this role and any others that may be suitable in the future.
