About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Python to join a fast-growing engineering team.
You will be involved in designing and developing scalable cloud-based security solutions, working on innovative product features while contributing to the architecture, reliability, and overall quality of the platform.
This role is well suited to an experienced Python backend engineer who enjoys working with distributed systems, cloud technologies, and modern software engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain innovative product features based on business requirements
- Design scalable and fault-tolerant architectures for distributed cloud environments
- Build and maintain high-quality backend services using Python
- Ensure reliable software delivery through CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and documentation
- Collaborate closely with Design, Product Management, and Customer Success teams to continuously improve the product
- Participate actively in technical discussions and code reviews
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving team collaboration and engineering practices

Requirements
Must Have
- 5+ years of professional experience in Python backend development
- Strong experience building scalable web applications using Python
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience automating deployments through CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of clean code and software documentation
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate effectively within a team
- Professional fluency in English
- Interest in open-source software and technology communities
- Experience in the same or a closely related industry is preferred
- Active OSS contributions or personal technical projects are highly valued
- Japanese is not required.
Nice to Have
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems
- Strong experience with AWS
- Experience with asyncio-based Python web frameworks
- Experience developing SaaS products
- Knowledge of web security concepts, particularly access control or email-related technologies
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
- Strong knowledge of Linux, macOS, or Unix-like environments
- Experience leading an engineering team
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

Working Conditions
- Working hours: 10:00 - 19:00
- Break: 60 minutes
- Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and year-end/New Year holidays
