Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team. 💻

🌍 This opportunity is based in Porto and follows a hybrid working model, so we are happy to hire candidates who are available to come to the office, regularly.

💡 Your daily responsibilities include:

• Develop robust and scalable RESTful APIs to support our product's core functionalities.

• Implement efficient database schemas and optimize database performance.

• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure the security of our applications.

• Write technical documentation and continuously strive to improve software.

• Work according to Agile Scrum methodologies.

💼 Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in backend development.

• Good knowledge of C# and ASP.NET Core.

• Experience developing RESTful APIs.

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar CI/CD tools.

• Experience with unit testing using testing frameworks in the .NET environment.

• Understanding of database management systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).

• Good communication skills in English.

• Proactive attitude, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Motivated individual with the ability to think outside the box.

➕ Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure and virtualization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, such as Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ.

👩‍💻 Our recruitment process consists of three distinct steps, each designed to assess different aspects of a candidate's qualifications, skills, and alignment with the organization.

Stage 1 - 30-minute conversation with a Recruiter.

Stage 2 - 1-hour technical conversation with members of the engineering team.

Stage 3 - 1-hour conversation with our Project Director.
