The Role
We're looking for a BackendEngineer who enjoys building reliable, scalable systems that power intelligentproducts.
You'll work closely with Productand Engineering to build the core infrastructure behind HirroBase. From APIsand integrations to AI workflows and platform reliability, your work will shapehow the product performs today and scales tomorrow.
Your Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain secure, scalable backend services and REST APIs.
Build the infrastructure powering AI workflows, automations and platform intelligence.
Design efficient database schemas and optimize system performance.
Integrate third-party services and external APIs.
Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end product experiences.
Contribute to architecture decisions and continuously improve backend quality.
Build reliable deployment, monitoring and testing practices.
Identify technical risks early and propose practical solutions.
Iterate quickly as product priorities evolve.
The Requirements
Must Haves
Strong experience building backend applications with Node.js and TypeScript.
Experience designing scalable APIs and backend services.
Strong understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Experience integrating third-party APIs and implementing secure authentication.
Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and modern deployment practices.
Ability to write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
A strong sense of ownership. You don't wait to be told every next step.
Nice to Haves
Experience building products in an early-stage startup.
Experience shipping products from 0→1.
Experience integrating LLMs, AI services or intelligent automation into production systems.
Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings or AI orchestration frameworks.
Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Render or Vercel.
Curiosity about AI, automation and the future of work.
