What you'll do

We are looking for an Integration Staff Engineer to serve as a technical beacon for our engineering organization. You will lead a high-performing team dedicated to building integration events that trigger and orchestrate complex Adobe Workfront workflows. This role is responsible for the architectural integrity, scalability, and developer experience of our integration platforms, developing a JVM-based layer on GCP that serves as the backbone for our Creative Management operations.

• Architectural Stewardship: Design and evolve complex, event-driven architectures that support high-scale data processing and reliable business logic.

• Workflow Orchestration: Act as the subject matter expert for distributed message oriented architectures.

• Technical Excellence (JVM & Beyond): Set the "gold standard" for development in Kotlin and Java, ensuring services are performant, observable, and maintainable.

• Infrastructure & DX: Standardize and optimize our GCP environment (GKE, Postgres, BigQuery) and lead the maturation of our CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.

• Technical Mentorship: Spend significant time "in the trenches" with senior engineers, conducting high-impact code reviews and pair programming on the most critical system components.

• Strategy & Influence: Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to define technical roadmaps that balance feature velocity with long-term platform stability.

What You’ll Bring

Bringing 10+ years in software engineering, with recent experience in a "Principal," "Staff," or "Technical Lead" capacity within a high-growth SaaS or product-led company.You have a track record of elevating the engineers around you. You lead by example and through influence rather than authority.

• Server-Side Java Mastery: Strong expertise in server-side Java development, specifically using Spring Boot to build robust, scalable services.

• Systems Integration Expert: Expert-level knowledge in systems integration, including distributed architectures and message-oriented middleware.

• Database Design Expertise: Proven ability to design schemas and recommend optimal database choices across both SQL and NoSQL technologies.

• Cloud-Native Architecture: Extensive experience with enterprise cloud platforms (GCP preferred, though expertise in AWS or Azure is highly valued), leveraging container orchestration (GKE) and serverless ecosystems.

• DevOps & Engineering Excellence: Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD automation (GitHub), coupled with excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
