As a Virtual Behavioral Health Therapist, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care through telehealth, helping patients overcome challenges, build resilience, and improve their well-being while enjoying the flexibility and reach of a remote care environment. Scheduling & Logistics: The position is fully remote. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is no on-call requirement. The selected candidate must live in one of the following remote states. AL, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MI, MO, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, WV, or WI. Preferred/required Skills LCSW or LPC. Experience with Epic. Strong communication skills. Teamwork skills. Crisis intervention skills. Job Summary: Provides comprehensive assessment and disposition of mental, emotional, behavioral, addictive, and developmental disorders/disabilities using specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in a virtual environment. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides comprehensive biopsychosocial and standardized assessments using specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills for potential program enrollment. Works with the patient to develop an initial individualized support plan with goals. Provides resources for services in the community and makes referrals. Provides enrollment and intake services to patients and potential patients. Responds to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health related services. Conducts safety assessment and planning with patients via telephone or video. Partners with patients to create self-directed sustainable changes that align with their values to promote health/wellness and enhance well-being. Collaborates with other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop support goals for the patient. May participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences discussing information obtained from patient assessments, updates, and plans. Provides appropriate documentation of all pertinent information obtained in interviews, consultation with other healthcare professionals, referrals, contacts, and supportive services provided to each patient. Completes necessary documentation and reporting in accordance with departmental standards and federal and state regulations. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION Master's degree in Behavioral Health or education equivalency for licensing EXPERIENCE No experience required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Constant use of hearing to receive oral communication and hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Constant use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more). Constant lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent use of speech to share information through oral communication. Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Frequent standing, twisting and walking. Frequent use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, reaching, gripping and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing over 50 lbs. Occasional keyboard use/data entry. Occasional use of smell to detect/recognize odors. Occasional driving. Rare crawling, running and lifting/moving patients.
