Working/Functional Title Benefits Administration Generalist Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the HR manager, the HR Generalist supports MSU faculty, staff, students, and retirees by responding to benefit related inquiries and assisting with benefit transactions. The role also involves educating customers about benefit coverage and providing guidance during new hire onboarding and the annual open enrollment period. Minimum Requirements Experience in benefits administration is highly preferred, along with knowledge of and familiarity with HR systems and contact center software. A strong customer service orientation is essential, including demonstrated ability to exceed expectations and effectively support multiple stakeholders such as employees, managers, HR partners, and departmental representatives.
