About the role An exciting career opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated practitioner to join Barnet's Child and Family Early Help Service. This post will play a key role in supporting children 0 – 5 years and their families through Barnet's Best Start in Life Family Hubs programme. The post will provide early years focused family support and outreach, helping families access universal and targeted services that promote children's learning, development, wellbeing and school readiness. The role will include working in partnership with a wide range of services including; the voluntary sector, early years providers, Health and SEND services. The role will support prevention, early intervention, the reduction of inequalities and improved Good Level of Development (GLD) outcomes, in line with national Best Start in Life expectations. You will have: Experience of working directly with children under 5 and their families, including those who may be vulnerable, isolated or reluctant to engage with services. A good understanding of child development, attachment, school readiness and the importance of the early years. Experience of engaging families through outreach, home visiting, group work or community-based support. Have experience of working, communicating and interacting with a wide variety of people and/or community-based services.
