BI Specialist Primary Skills SQL, Advanced Excel, Power BI, SSIS, Power App Specialization Power BI Development: BI Specialist Job requirements Experience Range: With at least 5 years of hands-on Power BI development experience, including advanced SQL and BI solution delivery within enterprise environments Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models tailored to pharma and life sciences data requirements 2. Build robust data models, DAX measures, and scalable business intelligence solutions to drive actionable insights 3. Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for efficient data extraction, transformation, and analysis across multiple sources 4. Collaborate with business stakeholders and data engineering teams to gather requirements, ensure accurate delivery, and support decision-making 5. Perform comprehensive data validation, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance tuning strategies to enhance BI solution reliability 6. Apply Power BI security, deployment, and governance best practices to ensure compliance and data integrity 7. Manage Power BI Service workspaces, schedule data refreshes, and oversee deployment processes for enterprise-scale reporting 8. Utilize star schema principles and advanced data modeling techniques to optimize analytics workflows and reporting structures Required Skills: 1. Advanced Power BI development and dashboard design 2. Expertise in DAX for complex calculations and data analysis 3. Strong proficiency in advanced SQL for data manipulation and optimization 4. Power BI Service management, including workspaces and deployment 5. Deep understanding of data modeling and star schema concepts 6. ETL and data transformation techniques 7. Semantic model creation 8. Performance tuning within Power BI environments 9. Implementation of Power BI security and governance Preferred Skills: 1. Microsoft Fabric integration 2. Domain experience in pharma or life sciences analytics 3. Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Azure, or Databricks 4. Row-Level Security (RLS) configuration 5. Azure DevOps for BI project automation Desired Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field relevant to BI development 2. Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) 3. Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent BI certification Additional Information: Location: Bangalore.
