What is in it for you: • Hourly salary of $19.50. • 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment. • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. • Shift start time: 7:00 am or 9:00 am. • Work model: Remote, anywhere in Canada. Responsibilities: • Manage and monitor permanent disability claims. • Request, review, and assess medical reports and supporting documentation. • Conduct telephone interviews with claimants to gather information and verify eligibility. • Communicate regularly in French and English with claimants, physicians, case managers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. • Evaluate ongoing eligibility for disability benefits. • Interpret policy provisions and determine their impact on claims decisions. • Escalate complex cases to appropriate case managers or resources as required. • Maintain accurate claim records, documentation, and updates. • Deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities. • Ensure timely follow-up, claim updates, and stakeholder communication. • Coordinate with internal departments, case managers, physicians, and other involved parties to support ongoing claims management and monitoring. • Make referrals to a case manager or other resources when required. What you will need to succeed: Required qualifications • Postsecondary education in any field of study. • Working knowledge of disability management processes and contract wording. • Experience reviewing and evaluating medical documentation, disability claims, insurance claims, or healthcare-related information. • Ability to request, review, and assess medical and supporting documentation. • Ability to review and interpret contractual and policy provisions and understand their impact on benefits. • Ability to make referrals to a case manager or other resource when needed. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Windows and Excel. • Strong proficiency with data and document management systems. • Experience handling telephone communications with claimants and various stakeholders. • Bilingualism in French and English, both written and spoken, is required to communicate with claimants, physicians, healthcare providers, case managers, and other stakeholders across Canada. Preferred qualifications • 2 years of experience in an administrative role. • Experience in disability claims administration. • Experience in insurance, benefits administration, healthcare, or a related field. • Additional education or training in healthcare, medical terminology, disability management, or insurance. • Medical, healthcare, clinical, or medical terminology knowledge. • Experience using claims management systems such as Navigator or similar claims administration platforms. • Strong customer service and case management exposure. Soft skills • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities that foster effective interactions with a variety of stakeholders. • Strong customer service orientation, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism when communicating with claimants, service providers, and internal stakeholders. • Excellent organizational, prioritization, planning, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. • Sound judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to investigate discrepancies, gather information, and resolve issues effectively. • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment. • Proactive approach with the ability to take initiative. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong team collaboration skills.
