Joining our Firm means becoming part of a team devoted to keeping families together and “Changing as Many Lives as Possible.” About the Role The Staff Attorney will conduct client calls to answer legal questions, explain the immigration process, and provide case-related information, ensuring clients are informed and supported throughout their immigration journey.  No immigration experience is necessary, as training will be provided on the types of cases you will be working on, but an interest in immigration law is preferred.  The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, able to follow detailed instructions, and motivated to help our clients obtain documents and stay united with their families.  There is an opportunity for career growth and additional responsibilities with strong performance. Your Key Contributions Conduct client calls to answer legal questions related to their immigration cases and provide case status updates within established guidelines Explain legal processes and next steps to clients in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner Review draft immigration applications pursuant to instructions from Senior Attorneys Identify, track, and make necessary edits prior to submission Clearly communicate to other team members regarding edits Meet daily goals on reviewing cases and client calls Perform legal research on immigration law topics What Makes You a Great Fit The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of a state bar Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required Ability to follow detailed directions Experience using a case management software system preferred Interest in immigration law preferred Support mission of helping people currently living in America obtain their documents and stay together with their family Computer skills (Typing - MS Word and MS Excel, Document Management-DropBox, Email - MS Outlook) Work Schedule Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Compensation The expected salary for this role is $65.000-$69.750, though the final offer will reflect several factors such as your experience, skills, and the role's location and may be outside of this range. Candidates should expect offers that reflect their individual qualifications, experience, and location. The salary provided is directional, and actual compensation may vary.
