BIM Coordinator Help Drive Complex Construction Projects from Model to Reality We're seeking a BIM Coordinator who thrives at the intersection of design, technology, and construction. In this role, you'll play a critical part in transforming design intent, contract documents, and 3D mechanical and piping system models into detailed fabrication and installation-ready BIM models. Working alongside project managers, engineers, contractors, and field teams, you'll help coordinate projects from planning through installation while ensuring accuracy, constructability, and collaboration across all trades. What You'll Do BIM Coordination & Modeling Develop detailed fabrication and installation models for mechanical and plumbing systems using BIM fabrication software. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and design teams to produce LOD 400 BIM models. Coordinate with general contractors and trade partners to resolve clashes and achieve effective multi-trade coordination. Attend coordination meetings, both virtually and onsite, to support project progress and issue resolution. Generate RFIs when clarification is needed from the design team. Construction Documentation & Project Support Manage and review project drawings, specifications, submittals, and vendor-specific models. Create detailed shop drawings for fabrication and installation. Produce hanger, sleeve, and coordination drawings and export layout coordinates for robotic total station use. Work closely with field personnel to ensure fabrication and installation intent is clearly communicated and executed. Maintain current project information and documentation throughout each phase of the project. Team Collaboration Support project teams in meeting deadlines and project milestones. Assist with training and knowledge-sharing related to modeling and collaboration software. Collaborate with fellow BIM professionals to maintain quality standards and improve project efficiency. Contribute ideas and feedback regarding software, hardware, and workflow improvements. Pursue ongoing learning and professional development to stay current with industry tools and best practices. What You'll Bring 3+ years of experience in BIM coordination, mechanical systems modeling, piping systems, or a related discipline. Proficiency with Revit. Strong understanding of construction documentation and mechanical/plumbing systems. Ability to read and interpret project schedules, drawings, specifications, and technical information. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Comfortable presenting information and collaborating with internal and external project teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Navisworks or other BIM coordination platforms. Ability to distinguish between colors used within BIM and coordination models.
