ZS Discovery partners with pharmaceutical and biotech clients to accelerate the discovery of safer, more effective therapeutics with a higher chance of reaching patients and improving their lives. We combine scientific expertise, advanced analytics, AI and strategic consulting to help research organisations become more productive, more data-driven, and make more confident and robust decisions.The Copenhagen team is intentionally hybrid: scientific depth, AI capability, technical skills, and business context in the same people.
What You’ll Do:
- Multi-modal data integration across omics, imaging, assay and clinical data
- AI-driven discovery workflows and agentic systems, including target discovery, biomarker ranking and patient stratification
- Knowledge graphs and data foundation design (e.g., ontologies, semantic search, GraphRAG)
- Bioinformatics pipeline engineering (e.g., Nextflow, cloud-native, reproducible workflows)
- Translational science and biomarker development, connecting discovery data to clinical decisions
- Lead end-to-end workstreams from problem structuring to delivery
- Design integrated solutions that combine AI, scientific domain expertise and business context
- Own the narrative and quality of client-facing deliverables (e.g., slide decks, executive summaries), ensuring clarity, structure, and impact for senior stakeholders
- Shape and author points of view (PoVs) and contribute to business development materials (e.g., proposals, pitches), connecting market trends, client needs, and ZS capabilities
- Run client working sessions and act as a trusted advisor on AI-in-discovery questions
- Coach junior team members on both technical work and communication
- Contribute actively to business development and growth of the practice
What You'll Bring:
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred) or equivalent industry/consulting experience
- Track record of delivering AI- and science-driven projects in pharma, biotech or consulting
- Comfort owning client conversations and leading teams
- AI capability you can demonstrate, across LLM and agentic AI patterns
- Prior pharma, biotech or life-sciences consulting exposure
- Experience with cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP), CI/CD, containerisation, MLOps
- Experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Domino, Redshift, Snowflake or similar environments)
- GxP / regulated-research awareness
- Experience writing proposals or supporting business development
- Fluency in English
- Client-first mentality

Travel is a requirement at ZS for client facing ZSers; business needs of your project and client are the priority. While some projects may be local, all client-facing ZSers should be prepared to travel as needed.
