Board of Directors (Volunteer) – CRPS Ireland
Location: Ireland (Remote / Online
Meetings)Role Type: Volunteer / Non-Executive
About the Initiative
CRPS Ireland is being set up to fill a major gap in support and care pathways for people living with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome across the country. As the founder living with CRPS, I know first-hand how challenging it is to navigate the Irish healthcare system—especially during severe flare-ups, when patients often end up in overcrowded A&E departments that simply aren't set up for complex neurological pain.
We are establishing CRPS Ireland as a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) and registering as a charity. Our initial focus is practical:
Roles We Are Filling
Since LinkedIn only allows a single post, we are listing all three open volunteer positions here:
We need a Pain / Neurology Consultant (or Senior Registrar) with an interest in CRPS to act as our clinical lead. You will review our patient resources, advise on the clinical setup of our Patient Passport app, and help shape the flare-up care pathway we present to the HSE.
A Senior Physio or Occupational Therapist with experience in chronic pain, pain management programs, or central sensitization. You will advise on functional recovery guidance, movement protocols, and tracking metrics within the app.
A qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, ACA) or someone with direct experience in Irish charity governance and CRO filings. You will help us establish proper financial controls, handle our early CLG setup, and ensure we build the governance track record required for future state grant funding.
