Bookkeeper / Accountant (US Experience Required)

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant with New York City (US) accounting experience to join our growing team. If you have a strong accounting background, excellent attention to detail, and experience supporting NYC-based businesses, we'd love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions Record and reconcile financial transactions Prepare monthly financial reports Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Assist with payroll and tax-related tasks Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance Support month-end and year-end closing activities Qualifications Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience Experience working with New York City (NYC) clients or companies is required Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and bookkeeping practices Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required) Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently in a remote environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with Xero, Bill.com, Gusto, or similar accounting software Knowledge of U.S. payroll and sales tax Experience working with CPA firms or U.S.-based businesses Why Join Us?
