Bookkeeping Assistant

Bookkeeping Assistant (Remote – US Client) About the Role A growing US-based company is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Assistant to support their accounting and operations team remotely. This role is highly involved with the finance department and also includes various administrative and data-related tasks. This is a full-time remote position working primarily US hours, with flexibility as long as there is strong overlap with the team. Working Hours Monday to Friday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM South African time Some flexibility available, provided there is significant overlap with the US team Key Responsibilities Assist the accounting team with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks Maintain accurate financial and administrative records Work extensively with QuickBooks Capture, reconcile, and update financial data Manage spreadsheets and reporting using Microsoft Excel Work with the company's custom inventory and sales software that syncs with QuickBooks Extract and update information from internal systems Support with general data administration and back-office tasks Ensure accuracy and attention to detail across all records and reports Requirements Previous bookkeeping or accounting administration experience Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Good Excel skills Comfortable learning new systems and software Strong attention to detail and accuracy Organised and able to manage repetitive tasks efficiently Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment Good written communication skills No phone-based work required Advantageous Experience working with inventory or sales systems Previous experience supporting a US or international company remotely What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, tech-savvy, and comfortable working closely with an accounting team in a fast-paced remote environment.
