Chenega Services & Federal Solutions LLC, a Chenega Professional Services company, is looking for a Budget Analyst to provide programmatic and technical support services to the Division of Workforce Development’s (DWD) mission. Work Location: Remote with occasional onsite visits; Atlanta, GA Responsibilities Provide technical assistance to the Branch Chief, Deputy Branch Chief and leadership of other branches and Division units as needed in support of evaluating PHWB financial resources. Ensure that needs for highly complex tracking of financial resources are managed including reconciling monthly status of funds reports and updating PHWB reporting and tracking systems accordingly. Review annual program financial trends from multiple data sources, summarize with input from program staff, data points of contact, and evaluation specialists, and present to program each month. Reconcile quarterly Unliquidated (ULOs) and manage process necessary to deobligate outstanding balances. Identify opportunities for improvements and recommend enhancements to budgetary processes, practices, and procedures. Work with the PHIC program resource management budget analyst and coordinates branch’s budgets. Prepare for, attend, and communicate branch’s intra/extramural activities and other unit Status of Funds meeting. Meet with programs/teams/branch leadership to provide advice and assistance in budget development and management. Provide budget detail and insight as well as historical knowledge on modifications to budget. Track, monitor, and reconcile projections, commitments, and obligations using RMS Monitor and other tools. Identify potential issues and provide recommendations for resolution. Coordinate Employee Loan Repayment Public Health (ELRPHP) ensuring loans are tracked, monitored and processed by the Office of Financial Resources quarterly. Enter program data into spreadsheets or systems for analysis, pulling reports from data systems, and managing data. Provide complete and timely responses to inquiries from Branch, Division, and Center leadership. Serve as the Position Coordinator for EHCM – requesting numbers, updating, daily maintenance, answering Division questions updating and maintaining program databases to ensure tracking of fellows, Title 42 staff, and contractors for all needed OHR and funding actions. Maintain up-to-date staffing lists and information on all current fellows in CDC systems related to managing the status of fellows and impact on financial resources. Participate in, and initiate as needed, meetings with the PHWB Team Leads, Deputy Team Leads, Program Leads, Branch and Division administrative teams, and CDC’s Human Resources Office (HRO) team, including Immigration and Security, to prepare for and coordinate cycles of all PHWB fellowships. Develop a shared document storage system, process, and SOP to obtain and save all fellow for records management and collaborative purposes. Collaborate with Division, Branch and other leadership on the development and implementation of projects, teams, and workgroups. Coordinate and facilitate meetings with Division and Branch Leadership to provide program status updates and facilitate strategic discussions. Works with PHWB Branch Leadership on planning, logistics, and execution for the branch. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field 5-7 years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field 5-7 years of relevant experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to manage a range of complex projects Ability to use SAS, R, and the following Microsoft products: Access, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, and SharePoint and their graphical components to develop, edit, analyze, and prepare reports for print or electronic distribution. Demonstrated problem-solving ability, ability to listen, and ability to work under deadlines. Ability to effectively work effectively in teams and with stakeholders throughout the agency.
