Building Services Engineer

Role Description This is a full or part time role that can be remote and/or on a contract basis for a Building Services Engineer (senior/principal/associate). The Building Services Engineer will design, review, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for a variety of building projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical drawings and specifications, performing calculations, and supporting the delivery of efficient, compliant building services solutions. The role involves collaborating with internal consultants and clients, resolving technical issues, and ensuring that project requirements, sustainability goals, and industry standards are met. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and documentation to support high-quality project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in Building Services (electrical or mechanical) with the ability to develop practical, efficient solutions.
• Proficiency in Engineering, including design, load calculations, and coordination with other building systems.
• Hands-on experience with Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing (MEP) design and coordination across different project types.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent professional qualification in building services, mechanical, electrical, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with UK building regulations, standards, and best practices; experience with high-profile or complex projects is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage deadlines, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills; competence with design and CAD/BIM tools is beneficial.
