Is this job info correct?

WiredScore is a global property technology company working with leading building owners, developers, occupiers, engineers, and technology providers to improve digital connectivity and smart technology across the built environment. Recently, WiredScore joined forces with Meter, a leading provider of enterprise internet infrastructure, deepening WiredScore’s connection to the technology that powers digital connectivity in buildings. Through WiredScore and SmartScore certifications, we provide globally recognized standards that help our clients understand, improve, and communicate the technology performance of their buildings. Our work combines technical assessment, practical recommendations, and close collaboration with the commercial real estate, engineering, construction, and telecommunications industries. The Role WiredScore is looking for a Building Technology Associate to join our North America Operations team in New York City. You will help deliver WiredScore and SmartScore certifications for buildings across the United States and Canada. The role involves reviewing technical documentation, evaluating building infrastructure, conducting and coordinating site assessments, producing client-facing reports, and helping property owners and project teams identify opportunities to improve their buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning or accelerating a career in telecommunications, engineering, building technology, or commercial real estate. You do not need to arrive as an expert in every area we assess. We are looking for someone with strong technical curiosity, clear communication skills, careful attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn. Must have: Early-career technical experience, with zero to three years in telecommunications, engineering, construction, building systems, property technology, or a related field. Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to clients and colleagues without a technical background. Excellent attention to detail, including the ability to spot gaps, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies across drawings, reports, photographs, and other evidence. Strong organization and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, clients, priorities, and deadlines at the same time. A proactive, curious, and resourceful mindset, with a genuine interest in buildings, connectivity, technology, and commercial real estate. A collaborative and adaptable approach, including confidence working independently, openness to feedback, and good judgment about when to ask questions or escalate an issue. Authorization to work in the United States. Helpful, but not required: Experience in one or more of the following areas would be valuable: Telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optics, structured cabling, carrier networks, low-voltage systems, enterprise Wi-Fi, or in-building wireless. Smart building and building technology systems, such as building management systems, automation, systems integration, IoT, or supporting electrical and backup-power infrastructure. Reviewing technical drawings and documentation, including architectural, electrical, mechanical, and telecommunications plans. Conducting site surveys or field assessments of building infrastructure and technology systems. Producing or quality-assuring technical reports, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and clear recommendations. Working in a client-facing project environment, particularly with commercial real estate owners, developers, engineers, contractors, service providers, or technology vendors. Telecommunications experience can help shorten the learning curve, but it is not a strict requirement. Candidates from diverse technical backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Communication skills, attention to detail, attitude, and willingness to learn are central to success in this role. Manage certification projects end to end, from project kickoff and technical evidence review through assessment, reporting, recommendations, and final completion. Conduct or support on-site assessments to evaluate how effectively commercial buildings support connectivity and smart technology, including telecoms spaces, pathways, cabling, carrier infrastructure, wireless systems, resilience, and other relevant building technologies. Review detailed technical information, such as floor plans, engineering drawings, photographs, equipment specifications, site surveys, and riser diagrams, to build an accurate picture of each property. Identify issues and improvement opportunities, checking information for gaps or inconsistencies and recommending practical ways clients can improve their building’s digital infrastructure and smart capabilities. Explain technical findings clearly to clients, including property owners, developers, asset managers, architects, and engineers, translating complex information into straightforward reports and advice. Coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders, working with internal teams, survey engineers, consultants, internet providers, and technology vendors while managing timelines, risks, and project information accurately. Enhanced parental leave Health, Vision and Dental Insurance 1 Work From Anywhere week per quarter Remote working budget to support your home office environment Monthly internet stipend Annual learning and development budget of $1000 USD Sickness policy 401K PTO, public holidays, and office closure between Christmas and New Year Diversity & Inclusion WiredScore celebrates and supports diversity for the benefit of our employees, our business, and our community. If this opportunity is interesting as a permanent role with a degree of flexibility, please discuss this with us.Disabilities are not a barrier to employment at WiredScore.
