About Us This is a great time to join Gloucestershire County Council, as Children’s Services is on an exciting journey, which focuses our approach into being more creative, strengths-based and person-centred, to ensure that we work together to ‘Make a Difference’ to our local communities. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training and development opportunities throughout their apprenticeship. The role is based in our Tewkesbury locality office, supporting Tewkesbury Children’s Services. You will have an opportunity to learn about different Children’s Services teams and the key part that our administrators play in assisting our practitioner colleagues to support vulnerable children and families in Gloucestershire. In addition to studying for your NVQ your duties will include:- · Dealing with telephone enquiries, taking messages and passing to practitioners. · Preparing documents using Microsoft Word · Updating spreadsheets using Excel · Booking meetings using Microsoft Teams and our internal room booking system · Uploading documents to our bespoke database Liquid Logic (training will be provided) · Use of a range of IT software systems About You We are looking for candidates who are keen to develop their skills in administration and contribute to a more innovative way of working. You must, therefore, be adaptable, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to prioritise workload. If you think that this is the role for you, we look forward to hearing from you. Why are you perfect for this role and what will you bring to our team? In return we will offer you: Regular formal and informal support. Working in Children’s Services does require an applicant who can be proactive or responsive to changing demands and resilient to some of the tough emotional content of the role. However, it is also a role that can bring great reward and job satisfaction. How to apply Please submit your application and personal statement today by clicking the “Apply Now” Button. For an informal discussion please contact Pauline Vines – 01452 328496 [email protected] Additional Information To access the Job Profile for this role, please follow the link below:- Business Support Apprentice - Job Profile The council is not currently able to offer sponsorship in this role. It is a legal requirement, under the Immigration Act 2016, that anyone appointed to a ‘customer facing role’ must be able to demonstrate an ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in fluent English. Hybrid working arrangements are available for the majority of our roles, giving teams the opportunity to work in a way that suits them, balancing service need and individual choice, with a mix of both remote and office working.
