Business Analyst

Description Business Analyst BizTech Fusion is hiring a Business Analyst for one of its clients. Location: Salem, Oregon – Remote/Hybrid Local Candidates: Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Salem, Oregon. Work Arrangement: Primarily remote, with occasional onsite work based on business needs. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support modernization and enterprise initiatives. The Business Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, program teams, technical teams, senior analysts, and vendors to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements and documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, documentation, UAT testing, stakeholder communication, and implementation support . Key Responsibilities Gather and analyze business requirements through interviews, workshops, document reviews, and research. Translate stakeholder needs into business requirements, user stories, business rules, functional requirements, and process diagrams . Develop and maintain current-state and future-state process maps . Prepare and maintain SOPs, requirements documentation, system documentation, and other project deliverables. Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Work with technical teams and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and evaluate potential solutions. Develop UAT test cases , participate in testing, document results, and communicate issues for resolution. Support implementation activities and help identify workflow impacts. Assist with developing end-user training materials and supporting train-the-trainer sessions. Gather user feedback and provide recommendations to support adoption and continuous improvement. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to build consensus and clarify business needs. Collaborate with vendors, program staff, senior analysts, and technical teams throughout project delivery. Perform other business analysis activities as needed to support project goals and timelines. Required Skills & Experience Strong experience in business analysis and requirements gathering . Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements sessions. Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional documentation . Experience creating current-state and future-state process maps . Experience with UAT test case preparation, execution, and defect/issue documentation . Strong documentation and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders . Experience supporting enterprise, modernization, or large-scale technology initiatives is preferred. Strong facilitation, collaboration, and consensus-building skills. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting large-scale modernization or enterprise transformation programs. Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and security practices . Experience with project management or change management . Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder meetings. Background working with relational databases or cloud-based data platforms . Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into business-friendly language. Experience supporting implementation, training, and organizational change initiatives.
