Business Analyst (Business Intelligence)

Job Description This is a remote position. Business Analyst We are seeking a Business Analyst Business Intelligence to support a clinical information system modernization initiative within a large public sector health system. This role serves as a critical liaison between the modernization program and clinical, technical, operational, and business stakeholders across multiple regional health authorities and public sector organizations. The ideal candidate will facilitate stakeholder engagement, translate complex healthcare needs into actionable requirements, and enable data-driven decision-making across clinical, operational, and administrative functions. This role will contribute to the standardization of clinical practices and the implementation of a unified, integrated clinical information solution that modernizes care delivery and improves consistency and collaboration across the health system. This position requires someone who can translate complex clinical, operational, and business needs into structured, implementation-ready requirements in a Business Intelligence environment to support the planning and implementation of a clinical data ecosystem. The role will involve collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to plan and coordinate multi-stakeholder engagements, document current and future state workflows and data sources, guide decision-making across multiple organizations, elicit and validate requirements for data tools and visualizations, develop functional specifications and user stories, lead quality assurance and testing activities, and facilitate metrics definition and documentation. This role will work closely with the Business Intelligence Lead and other program team members to support the design of objectives and key results and performance indicators that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions. This position is remote with the requirement to travel to the work location at least once per month throughout the engagement. Qualifications 10+ years - Canadian progressive experience in hospital or digital health environment supporting large-scale clinical information system implementations, digital health transformation programs, or provincial and regional health system modernization initiatives 8+ years - expertise translating complex clinical, operational, and business needs into structured, implementation-ready requirements in a Business Intelligence environment, including reporting specifications, analytics frameworks, KPI definitions, dashboard requirements, standardization of data dictionaries, business rules and terminology University degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Health Sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience in healthcare transformation, information management, or digital health Nice to Have 6+ years - planning, scheduling, and coordinating meetings with large numbers of stakeholders across different organizations and roles for focus groups, strategy and approach planning, governance meetings, and progress planning, including finding time availability, defining meeting agendas and objectives, managing meeting takeaway items, and follow-ups 8+ years - exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills to communicate, convey, and facilitate topics such as standardization of work, terminology, performance measures, reporting needs, or business processes to foster collaboration, obtain buy-in and consensus, and influence change to enable healthcare transformation, including PowerPoint presentations and briefings for executives, clinicians, and technology teams 8+ years - strong organizational skills to meticulously document decisions, synthesize discussions, and maintain logs and registers, monitoring progress against plans and identifying dependencies and risks 6+ years - achieving consensus across multiple organizations, programs, or stakeholder groups on standardized workflows, terminology, performance measures, reporting requirements, or business processes within complex healthcare environments 8+ years - analyzing and capturing current-state clinical and operational workflows and facilitating the design of future-state processes enabled by large complex clinical information systems or transformational digital health technologies Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in both French and English
