Business Analyst – Data Management & Data Governance

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong Data Management & Data Governance expertise to join a data-focused transformation environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements.
• Work with business and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
• Support Data Management and Data Governance initiatives and frameworks.
• Analyze data and support data quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to metadata management, data lineage, business glossaries, and data definitions.
• Support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, developers, data stewards, and business stakeholders.
• Support Data Warehousing and BI/Analytics initiatives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and delivery activities.
• Support testing, UAT, data validation, and issue resolution.
• Ensure data solutions align with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of Data Management and Data Governance frameworks.
• Proven experience in Business Analysis, business consulting, and requirement gathering.
• Strong expertise in Data Analysis, Data Quality, Metadata Management, and MDM.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with Data Warehousing and BI/Analytics platforms.
• Strong ability to bridge business and technology teams.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Knowledge of data-related regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
