Location & Work Model: Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 3 remote days per week)

As a Business Analyst & SQL Specialist – French-speaking, you will be working for our client, a leading international organization in the financial services industry. You will play a key role in translating business challenges into actionable technical requirements, conducting in-depth data analysis, and optimizing processes—helping your team deliver innovative solutions that drive strategic decision-making. Your main responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements, analyze challenges, and develop clear functional specifications for technical teams.
• Write complex SQL queries (SELECT, filters, groupings, joins, subqueries) to extract, manipulate, and analyze data for business insights or troubleshooting.
• Study current processes, identify inefficiencies, and map out future “to-be” workflows for process improvement.
• Participate in testing phases, validate data integrity using targeted SQL queries, and ensure quality assurance standards are met.
• Document project details, specifications, use cases, and user guides in French, supporting deployment activities and stakeholder communication.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or data-focused consultant.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills, including writing autonomous queries with JOINs, subqueries, and data manipulation.
• Proven ability to gather requirements and translate them into functional documentation.
• Experience with process mapping and improvement methodologies.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Good command of French (minimum B2 level, written and spoken) for communication and documentation.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Familiarity with process modeling tools or methodologies.
• Experience working in international or financial services environments.
