Business Analyst- Trade Finance (Mashreq Global Network)

Job Purpose: A business analyst job purpose is to analyze and document the market environment, processes, or systems of businesses. This includes creating detailed business analysis in Trade finance and open account, budgeting and forecasting, planning and monitoring, variance analysis, pricing, reporting and defining business requirements for stakeholders. Business analyst facilitates the translation of business requirements into solution requirements and follow through during product development and testing to assess and validate that the developed technology and digital solutions are meeting business, product and customers’ requirements. Key Result Areas • Understanding business objectives, strategic plans with high capability to comprehend the organization’s goals and problems to be solved. • Defining and documenting customer business functions and processes • Domain expert in Trade Finance documentary and Open Account, passionate about translating visions into solutions and contributing to a continuous cutting-edge business and organization customer experience • Identifying, defining and documenting business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements and levels of systems access after consulting with functional unit management and personnel • Analyzing the practicability of and developing requirements for new systems and upgradations to existing systems • Certified Scrum master or agile coach with experience on agile practices. • Ensuring the system design is perfectly aligned as per the needs of the users • Participating in user acceptance testing and undertaking the functionality testing of new system • Assisting to business and product intents meetings and coaching technical and non-business staff on the product intents, business requirements and value to customers. • Developing a training curriculum and conducting formal training sessions covering assigned product module • Acting as a team lead on designated projects or assignments and providing work direction to one or more technical or clerical staff. • Demonstrate the ability to manage stakeholders across functions • Skilled in reviewing SIT, UAT test cases and ensuring all positive and negative functional and non-functional scenarios are covered • Able to guide the business on value added changes and avoid non-value-added changes with focus on business process transformation • Work closely with Product Owner and Business stakeholders to identify the prioritized backlog items and expand the required user stories in an incremental deliverable • Demonstrated experience with process documentation and re-engineering • Skilled in MS Office applications word, excel, PowerPoint, visio, Jira or equivalent Confluence Knowledge, Skills and Experience • Minimum 5 to 8+ years of experience in trade operations, trade finance, client support IT • Analytical and Critical Thinking • Negotiation and Cost-Benefit Analysis. • Communication and Interpersonal Skills • Team Player • Structure and planning • Agile and entrepreneur mindset • UI/UX and Customer experience understanding Minimum 5 to 8+ years of experience in trade operations, trade finance, client support IT Understanding business objectives, strategic plans with high capability to comprehend the organization’s goals and problems to be solved.
