We have a brilliant opportunity for a skilled mid-level Business Application Software Engineer to join our global Credit Core Team as part of our Edinburgh office. As a Software Engineer in the Credit Core team, you'll innovate and maintain our Core Product and ABR/S baseline in the area of Credit. You'll collaborate with our Tech Lead, Business Analysts and other Software Engineers to deliver client-oriented and effective solutions. Furthermore you'll exchange with stakeholders outside of the team including customers and software partners. Implementing new business functionality on the appropriate software layer and add automated tests. Overseeing component ownership for core banking components, as well as ABR/S software components. Working as part of a skilled team in an Agile environment to maintain the functionality within the team’s area of expertise. Writing solution designs for new developments and reviewing them alongside our technical leads and architects. Participating in client workshops and supporting our business analysts in requirements analysis. University degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics or equivalent Proven track record working in a software development team Excellent client-orientation and strong communication skills in English A passion for learning new technologies and a creative approach to problem solving It would be a real bonus if you have: PL/SQL, Oracle or database programming skills, but similar programming languages are welcomed Knowledge related to Financial Services or Credit, but this is not mandatory We realize that managing work-life balance is a challenge we all face in our daily lives and in order to support with this we are pleased to offer hybrid and flexible working for most of our Avaloqers to maintain work-life balance and still continue our fantastic Avaloq culture in our global offices.
