Role You will hold the commercial deal together end to end — across direct sales, account management, Exchange House partners and banking partners. This is a support and coordination role sitting alongside the Commercial Director rather than replacing them: you make sure nothing stalls because an owner is out of the office, that escalations land with someone who can act, and that the Commercial Director has a single accurate view of what is happening across the portfolio at any point in time. An opportunity to make a real difference in a thriving fintech industry: the tighter the commercial operation runs and the faster deals and escalations are resolved, the more unbanked employees in the UAE gain the simplest way to receive their salaries and access money transfer, mobile recharge and card services through our mobile app. Responsibilities Own the commercial deal from the first qualified opportunity through to a signed, live client, keeping sales, account management, product, compliance, legal, operations and finance moving so that every step has an owner and a date. Cover for Account Managers when they are out of the office or unavailable — pick up client escalations, take the decision where it falls within your authority, and hand back a clear position on their return. Do the same for Sales, keeping live opportunities moving and responding to client and prospect requests so that deals do not go quiet while an owner is away. Act as the day-to-day commercial contact for Exchange House partners and support the commercial side of our banking partner relationships, resolving issues and escalating what cannot be closed at your level. Keep one clear view of the commercial portfolio — pipeline, renewals, open escalations and accounts at risk — and report it to the Commercial Director on a fixed cadence. Look behind the numbers: explain why accounts are growing or slipping, spot issues that keep coming back, and bring recommendations rather than just a status update. Work within a clear delegated authority, knowing what you can decide yourself and escalating promptly where the decision sits above you. Make sure what we commit to a client can actually be delivered and is priced correctly, bringing in Compliance and Legal early wherever a deal moves away from standard terms. Keep CRM and commercial records accurate so that reporting and forecasting can be relied on. Support the onboarding of new clients and partners and make sure the handover from sales to account management is complete (this is an individual-contributor role with no direct reports). Your Profile 5+ years in a commercial, account management, sales operations or business coordination role, ideally in payments, fintech, payroll or B2B services. A practical understanding of how a commercial deal is constructed — pricing, contract terms, approvals, onboarding and revenue recognition. Comfortable taking decisions within a defined mandate, and equally clear about where that mandate ends and escalation begins. Strong analytical skills, able to build a portfolio view and turn it into a recommendation rather than a data dump. Credible with clients and partners, and able to hold an escalation confidently without the account owner present. Highly organised, running multiple deals and escalations in parallel without losing detail or letting items go quiet. Works comfortably across product, compliance, legal, operations and finance to secure the input a deal needs. A collaborative team player who shares knowledge and mentors peers (this role has no direct reports). Solid knowledge of the UAE market and the WPS / payroll landscape.
