Business Development Intern - Energy & Climate Solutions, US Market (f/m/d)

We are seeking a Business Development Intern - Energy & Climate Solutions to join our North America team at GO2 Markets. GO2 Markets connects buyers and sellers worldwide to facilitate the trading of environmental products and provides advisory services to help organizations develop and implement sustainability strategies. As a Business Development Intern, you will sit at the front of our buy-side origination effort, working alongside the North America desk to open new corporate and utility accounts and deepen existing ones. The work is roughly two-thirds outreach, one-third the analysis that makes the outreach credible. This is a full-time internship based at our Berlin office. Your Mission Build and maintain target lists of corporate and utility buyers , mapped by procurement profile, disclosure commitments, and likely product fit . Run first-touch outreach by email and LinkedIn, and own the follow-up cadence through to a booked meeting . Prepare pre-call briefs : sustainability commitments, reported Scope 2 and Scope 3 position, prior procurement activity, decision makers , and timing triggers . Monitor existing accounts for renewal windows, new load, and shifts in disclosure or compliance obligations that open a second conversation. Produce the market data , screening models , and client-facing materials the desk runs on, across EACs , green gas , SAF , and carbon . What You Will Bring Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in energy, environmental policy, economics, finance, engineering, or a related field. Strong analytical fundamentals and genuine fluency in Excel , comfortable building a clean model from scratch. Fluency in English and concise written communication . Client-facing writing here is short, substantive, and free of filler. Additional languages are a big plus, since we operate globally. Confidence with counterparties , including comfort with cold outreach and the rejection rate that comes with it. A self-starter attitude : organized enough to run a hundred open threads without dropping any, and genuinely curious about how these markets clear.
