Business Development Manager (BDM) - AI SaaS Products & Staff Augmentation
Location: Remote Experience: 3–7 Years Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Notice Period: Immediate joiners preferred
About Us
Nimara Ventures operates across two connected lines of business.
We are building a Production AI Copilot - an AI-powered engineering assistant that helps software teams build, review, test, debug, document, and ship production-ready software faster. Unlike traditional AI chatbots, our platform integrates directly into engineering workflows, understands business context, and supports teams across the entire software development lifecycle. We believe in AI-amplified engineering, where AI empowers developers to deliver better software while keeping humans in control.
Alongside the product, we provide engineering talent and staff augmentation services - placing vetted developers, QA engineers, DevOps specialists, and AI/ML engineers with clients as dedicated resources or managed pods, on both onsite and offshore models.
Role Overview
This is a dual-mandate business development role. You will own revenue across both our AI SaaS product and our staff augmentation services, which means selling a licensed product to engineering leaders as well as selling capacity and capability to teams that need to scale.
The two motions reinforce each other: many accounts start with a resource requirement and grow into a product conversation, and vice versa. We are looking for someone who can read which door a client is opening and sell accordingly.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommon to both lines
- Identify, qualify, and generate new business through outbound prospecting and inbound leads.
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline of enterprise and mid-market accounts.
- Engage CXOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Delivery Heads, and Talent Acquisition leaders to understand their business and technical challenges.
- Prepare proposals, commercial quotations, and rate cards; negotiate terms and close contracts.
- Maintain accurate account, pipeline, and forecast data in the CRM.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and business development targets across both lines.
- Collaborate with marketing, delivery, and product teams on go-to-market plans and campaigns.
- Represent Nimara Ventures at networking events, conferences, and industry meetups.
AI SaaS / Product Sales (Production AI Copilot)
- Position and pitch our AI-powered engineering platform to prospective clients.
- Run and coordinate product demonstrations, working with technical teams through the evaluation cycle.
- Manage pilots and proof-of-concept engagements through to paid conversion.
- Handle subscription and licensing discussions, including seat-based pricing, renewals, and expansion within existing accounts.
- Gather and relay market feedback, objections, and feature demand to the product team.
Staff Augmentation / IT Services Sales
- Generate and close staff augmentation, dedicated team, and managed pod requirements.
- Understand client resource needs - skills, seniority, tech stack, engagement duration, and budget -and translate them into clear requirements for the recruitment and delivery teams.
- Sell across engagement models: time-and-material, dedicated resources, offshore and hybrid teams, and project-based delivery.
- Negotiate rate cards, margins, MSAs, SOWs, and contract renewals.
- Coordinate profile sharing, client interviews, and onboarding alongside recruitment and delivery.
- Own account mining - grow headcount and scope within existing client accounts and drive repeat business.
- Build and maintain relationships with technology companies, GCCs, product firms, and system integrators as long-term hiring partners.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in Business Development, Enterprise Sales, IT Sales, or IT Staffing.
- Proven B2B sales experience - ideally a mix of SaaS or software products and IT services or staff augmentation.
- Working knowledge of staffing commercials: rate cards, margins, markups, billing models, and contract structures.
- Comfort discussing technical requirements - tech stacks, roles, and engineering workflows - with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong grasp of enterprise sales cycles and consultative selling.
- Demonstrated ability in lead generation, prospecting, and client relationship management.
- Ability to work independently and set your own pace in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Zoho CRM, or Salesforce.
