Business Intelligence Developer (Philippines-Based)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join our client's growing technology team. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in Google BigQuery and Apache Beam who enjoys building scalable data solutions from the ground up.

You will play a key role in designing and migrating enterprise data warehouses, modernizing ETL processes, and delivering business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. You'll work closely with technical and business stakeholders while supporting a UK-based team.

Employment Details

• Work Schedule:
• 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Manila Time), or
• 12:00 NN – 9:00 PM (Manila Time) Supporting UK business hours
• Work Setup:
• Remote for candidates residing outside Pampanga
• Onsite for candidates based in Pampanga
• Office location: Angeles City, Pampanga
• Successful hires are required to report onsite in Pampanga for onboarding and laptop/equipment collection, once hired.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of enterprise data warehouses to Google BigQuery.
• Design and develop modern ETL pipelines using Google Dataflow and Apache Beam.
• Build and optimize scalable data warehouse solutions from scratch.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, migration, and testing.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical BI solutions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and analytical datasets using Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting.
• Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and quality metrics.
• Recommend improvements to BI architecture, reporting, and data engineering practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality business intelligence solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 5–7 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Candidates with fewer years of experience but possessing the required technical expertise are encouraged to apply.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery (required).
• Strong experience with Apache Beam (required).
• Experience building enterprise data warehouses from the ground up.
• Experience migrating legacy data warehouses and ETL processes to modern cloud platforms.
• Strong background in data extraction, transformation, analysis, testing, and migration.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI or other BI visualization tools.
• Experience with Git, Jira, and CI/CD practices is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
