Ready Set is a full-service performance creative agency built on the belief that exceptional creative is the single most powerful lever for driving growth. We combine world-class creative production with full-funnel media strategy — connecting content, data, and distribution to drive measurable results for our clients.
We work with performance leaders like DoorDash, Hims+Hers, Brigit, Earnest, Sesame, Wild Alaskan Company, and more — spanning DTC, fintech, health & wellness, food & CPG, and consumer tech. With ~20 active clients and a team of ~116 across 12 countries, we are scaling from $15MM to $50MM in revenue. Project Management is the operational backbone that keeps creative production moving at pace — and the Head of Project Management is the person who makes that backbone stronger with every cycle.
About the Position
The Business Intelligence Lead is the technical owner of Ready Set's Business Intelligence function. It consolidates the analytical architecture, data infrastructure, and data compliance ownership. This role owns Ready Set's most critical internal intelligence end to end — client's health, revenue projections, internal operations efficiency— from the underlying data pipelines (Airbyte, Supermetrics, DBT, Snowflake) through to the models that power leadership reporting and the AI/LLM layer that consumes them.
Functional teams (Media Buying, Creative Services, Client Experience, Finance) own the day-to-day maintenance of their own dashboards on top of models this role builds and approves. The BI Lead is the technical gate that keeps that self-serve layer reliable — validating models before they are connected to a report, and before they are exposed to AI-assisted consumption.
Responsibilities
Advanced Modeling & Analytical Architecture
- Own the design and development of Ready Set's core analytical models — the Client Health Index (and its underlying intermediate models), revenue projection frameworks, and other operational performance metrics used by leadership.
- Define, evaluate, and integrate new analytical variables into existing frameworks, assessing relevance, data availability, and modeling complexity before moving them to production.
- Validate models against multiple methodological frameworks to ensure outputs are robust and defensible.
- Own compliance-sensitive financial and payroll modeling — including time tracking, contractor/payroll data, and Finance's P&L consolidation — applying the appropriate discretion and review process for salary-sensitive fields.
- Document all model logic, assumptions, and validation approaches so models remain maintainable and transferable, not dependent on any one person's knowledge.
Data Infrastructure & Pipeline Ownership
- Own and maintain Ready Set's full data stack end to end: Airbyte (including custom-built connectors), Supermetrics, DBT, GitHub, and Snowflake.
- Lead in-flight infrastructure migrations — consolidating remaining legacy reporting views into DBT, retiring orphaned models, and completing scheduled data-cleanup projects — coordinating with source-system owners (e.g. pausing a connector before a deletion) as needed.
- Partner with IT on data architecture decisions affecting the broader data infrastructure.
Data Compliance & Governance
- Own Ready Set's data compliance system in full: monitor freshness, documentation, ownership assignment, testing, and lineage across all production models against company-wide targets.
- Define and enforce data ownership — assigning accountability for each key data source and establishing update cadences — and escalate systemic gaps before they affect reporting quality.
- Maintain metric definitions and data taxonomy standards across all BI output, ensuring consistent terminology and calculation logic company-wide.
- Conduct regular QA reviews on high-stakes models and reports before they reach leadership or external stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Enablement & AI-Ready Data
- Certify data models before they are connected to dashboards maintained by functional teams (Media Buying, Creative Services, Client Experience, Finance), acting as the technical gate for a reliable self-serve reporting layer.
- Maintain the predefined-query and documentation layer that powers Ready Set's AI/LLM data consumption, keeping model and field definitions current.
- Maintain and expand AI-generated reporting capabilities, such as KPI-driven automated performance reports.
- Translate complex model outputs into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders across Finance, Client Experience, Creative Services, and Media Buying.
Strategic Data Initiatives
- Own continued development of Ready Set's Unified Database consolidation project, partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Creative Services, and IT to migrate decentralized data sources into a single source of truth.
- Partner directly with the Global Head of Shared Services to prioritize the data infrastructure roadmap and represent BI's technical perspective in cross-functional planning.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of both advanced modeling and production data infrastructure — not reporting alone.
- Advanced SQL required; hands-on experience with DBT and GitHub-based version control for data modeling required.
- Production experience with Snowflake (or an equivalent cloud data warehouse as BigQuery, Redshift) required, including executing writes under formal change-management discipline.
- Hands-on experience with data ingestion tools (Airbyte, Supermetrics, Fivetran, Stitch or equivalent) required, including maintaining custom or non-standard connectors.
- Experience handling compliance-sensitive data (payroll, financial, or similarly regulated data) with sound judgment and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to design and validate complex analytical frameworks (e.g. composite scoring models, revenue forecasts) against multiple methodologies.
- Strong dashboard and visualization skills (Looker Studio), sufficient to build reference templates other teams can self-serve from.
- Clear communicator, able to work directly with non-technical stakeholders across Finance, Client Experience, Creative Services, and Media Buying.
- Experience working in a fully remote, distributed, multi-country environment required.
